Project description.

This is a UX + UI student brief for a mood journal app. The product idea is my own. This app is designed to trace, visualise and review personal mood data.

Project goal.

A straightforward user journey with a look and feel that is scientific, calming and trustworthy.

Design solution.

The Bio app is designed for the users to rate a range of pre-set emotions using sliders so that writing is not required. There is also a camera button for the users to record their own facial expressions or take a photo that symbolise their frame of mind.

The algorithms of the app then visualise the mood data for the user to ‘see’ their mood patterns; therefore, help them to dive deeper into the world of emotions and feelings. Calming lake green is chosen as the accent colour.
